Future Norwood
The council is currently developing a masterplan for the West Norwood area, in consultation with local residents and businesses.
The masterplan sets out the type of development that should happen and will help Norwood make the most out of the opportunities available.
Proposals for a new permanent Multi-Use Games Area are being developed to address the need for improved youth facilities in Norwood.

A permanent Multi-Use Games Area
The council is committed to providing improved youth facilities and recognises there is a shortfall of local sports provision for young people in Norwood. To address this need, in summer 2006, a temporary Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) was opened on Vale Street which proved very popular with young people in the area. The council is now proposing a permanent outdoor MUGA which would provide facilities for five-a-side football, basketball and other sports for years to come.
