The masterplan is due to be taken to the council’s Cabinet in February 2009.

Your future Streatham

The next stage of public consultation now takes place in July and you are invited to:

  • Public workshop - Wednesday 16 July, 7-9.30pm, at Streatham Baptist Church, 22 Lewin Road

The first stage of consultation took place in April with hundreds of people voicing their opinions and helping to shape the future of Streatham.

Further information on specific regeneration proposals will be presented and consulted on in the autumn.

About this masterplan

The council has commissioned EDAW, an urban design and regeneration consultancy, to develop the masterplan. You can read all about the work to date in the Stage 2 Consultation Report.

The masterplan covers almost everything that happens in the local area from shopping, entertainment, parks and open spaces to office and business space, transport and the streets themselves. So, if you live or work in Streatham, or even just come as a visitor, it’s bound to affect you.

The masterplan will build on past research and consultation to help move closer to real change in the area. You can find out more about regeneration in the Regeneration Delivery Plan.
