West Norwood masterplan roadshows
Three informal, drop-in travelling roadshows were held at:
- St Luke's mothers and toddlers group, Monday 7 July 2008
- Lambeth Country Show, Brockwell Park Saturday 19 July and Sunday 20 July 2008
- West Norwood Farmer’s Market, Norwood Road, Saturday, 2 August 2008, 10am to 12.30pm.
Hundreds of local people discussed the Future Norwood masterplan proposals and provided valuable information on the facilities needed in the area.
Key issues raised
- lack of quality shops
- crime and safety
- transport issues both congestion and parking
- facilities for the public especially youth
- public realm including the buildings along Norwood Road
- housing
- MDO38 (current B&Q site).
