Atkins design consultancy has been appointed to help deliver a major project to redesign Lower Marsh and introduce an improved street market.
The primary aim of the Lower Marsh Regeneration Project is to address issues of accessibility, way-finding and safety in the proposed project area through physical improvements that will benefit all users of the street, from residents and visitors to local businesses.
The vision for Lower Marsh is to create a radically improved public space at the heart of Waterloo and to reconnect Lower Marsh with the surrounding area.

An update on the project
Thank you to everyone who took part in the May consultation events. The consultation report is now available. We plan to display the final design for Lower Marsh later this autumn. The design will be available to view online and at key locations on Lower Marsh.
