Local recycling points

Photograph of 'co-mingled' recycling bankThere are more than 30 recycling points around Lambeth where you can recycle paper and cardboard, mixed glass, tins, cans, aerosols, plastic bottles, plastic pots, tubs and trays and drink cartons.

At a number of points you can also recycle clothes, shoes, printer cartridges and small electrical goods.

There are also commuter bins at 14 key commuting locations for newspapers and magazines only.

You don't have to sort out all your waste

New 'co-mingled' banks, where possible with wheelchair access, mean you don't have to sort out all your waste - the following items all go in the same bin:

  • All paper, cardboard, Yellow Pages and directories (Please flatten boxes.)
  • All glass bottles and jars (Please rinse and remove lids. No broken glass please.)
  • All drinks cans, food tins and aerosols (Please rinse tins and ensure aerosols are empty.)
  • Plastic bottles, pots, tubs and trays (Please rinse)

Printer cartridge recycling

Photograph of a printer cartridge recycling bankYou can now recycle your old computer printer cartridges at the on-street site listed below and Lambeth Reuse and Recycling Centre.

Recycling cartridges not only reduces waste and pressure on landfill, it also reduces the need for raw materials such as oil, used to make the plastic.
