How do I put out my bin?
You must put your wheeled bin on the pavement outside your property for collection by 6am. It must not obstruct the footpath.
Do not put it out before 8pm on the night before your collection. Please make sure that, at the latest, your wheeled bin is back inside the boundary of your property by 8am the day after your collection.
If you are not able to put your wheeled bin on the pavement for collection please let us know on 020 7926 9000.
We can also help by visiting to arrange an assisted collection if you are unable to put out your rubbish and recycling due to a disability or mobility issues. An assisted collection is where a member of our collection crews will collect your rubbish and recycling from an agreed place. For more information, please contact us on 020 7926 9000.
We have put together some further answers to questions you may have on our how to put out your bin.
Waste that is not in your bin
We will not collect any rubbish sacks that are not inside your bin. This includes sacks that are left by the side of your bin.
We will not collect wheeled bins if the lid is not closed because it is overfull.
What happens if I do not put my bin out?
If you do not put out and bring in your wheeled bin, your rubbish will not be collected. Your bin could also be removed if it is considered to have been abandoned on the street. If you need to discuss your personal circumstances around this, please contact us on 020 7926 9000.
