What you can and can't put in your garden waste bag
What you can put in the bag
The garden waste collection service can accept the following items:
- grass cuttings
- leaves and twigs
- weeds, shrubs, plants and flowers
- hedge trimmings
- branches up to 10 cm diameter (larger branches will damage collection vehicles)
- pet bedding (from plant-eating animals only, e.g. rabbits and guinea pigs).
What you can't put in the bag
Please do not put these items into your garden waste bag:
- soil, rubble or large branches
- any kitchen or household food waste
- flower pots, plant trays, plastic and polystyrene
- general rubbish and other recycling
- cat and dog waste.
