Adoption
We have many children in our care at Lambeth, and they deserve the chance to grow up in a loving and secure home. The sort of home we hope you can provide.
Choosing to adopt is not a decision to be taken lightly, and it's vital that your reasons for wanting to do it are right.
It's particularly important for you to understand what's involved in the application and assessment procedure.
We want you to appreciate why it will take time, effort and commitment on your part.
We also want you to know that it's not just a test of your potential abilities as a parent - it's a period of preparation. Adoption is a chance to ensure you are ready to give a child a brighter future. There is another crucial thing you need to know about the assessment process - you will have our full support every step of the way.
The Lambeth Fostering and Adoption team is here to give you advice and assistance when you need it, and you can be assured that staff carrying out the assessments have the specific skills and experience.
Finally, thank you for your interest in adoption with Lambeth. We're hopeful that we can help you to offer a better life to a child.
