Advice for community members

If you are a professional or a member of the community and you are aware that a child is being privately fostered in the Borough of Lambeth, we would like you to encourage parents and carers to notify the Private Fostering Service within the Children and Young People's Service in Lambeth Council.

If you have child protection concerns about a child or young person who is being privately fostered, we ask that you contact the Referral and Assessment Duty on 020 7926 7868 to report the child protection concerns as a matter of priority but also ensure that you highlight the known private fostering arrangement in place.
