Fix Yourself A Break

The Fix Yourself A Break (FYAB) scheme aims to help carers who need support.

Under the scheme you could apply for a one off payment of up to £200 to help to pay for a short break or to buy goods and services to support you in your role as a carer.

What can the money be used for?

The grant can be used for any activity or item that gives you more time for yourself such as:

• leisure activities
• holidays
• time with friends
• sitting services
• education and learning
• transport costs

Do I qualify?

To be eligible you must:

• be over 18 years old
• be providing regular and substantial care
• be caring for a Lambeth resident aged 18 years or over
• agree to have a formal carers assessment
• have not already received a fix yourself a break grant within the current financial year.
