We also issue licences for temporary structures, and deal with dangerous structures and fire safety.

Future of Building Control - Building Notice survey

The Department for Communities and Local Government has just published a consultation document on proposals for the future development of the Building Control System.

One of the proposals in the consultation paper is to stop the use of Building Notices for major domestic projects, such as extensions and conversions.

To have your say on the Future of Building Control please take a few minutes to complete the Future of Building Control online survey.

The survey will be available until 10 June 2008.
