Rough sleeping during the extreme cold weather

Extreme cold weather increases the risk of death or serious illness if you are a rough sleeper. Lambeth operate a severe weather protocol when the temperature drops below zero, supporting you out of the cold and into emergency shelter and a bed during the severe cold weather period.

Advice on homelessness

We will do everything we can to help you keep your home or find alternative housing which meets your needs.

Application for homelessness

Housing options and advice is the first stop for all Lambeth residents with a housing problem or who need to leave their current accommodation.

Preventing homelessness

The focus is on early intervention and prevention. This is  beacuse most homelessness is preventable, but only if you act as early as possible before the situation gets worse. We can help you to keep your home or find safe and secure accommodation that is right for you.

Services for rough sleepers

There are a number of day centres in Lambeth that provide services for rough sleepers. This  include the provision of cheap or free food, clothing, blankets and showers, as well as other support, such as advice of how to access homeless shelters. 

Street Outreach Response Team (SORT)

If you, or someone you know, are sleeping rough, street outreach teams can provide help.
