Mediation service

Focus group meeting Mediation is a way for people to resolve their differences without one party being forced to leave their home.

If you are staying with friends or relatives and have been asked to leave, or if you have been asked to leave by your partner, mediation might help you resolve the problem or at least help prevent your immediate homelessness while alternative arrangements are made.

When you seek housing assistance from the council, we may ask a mediation service to try and mediate between you and the person asking you to leave in order to find an appropriate solution to your housing problem. 

Lambeth Mediation Service (LMS)

Lambeth Mediation Service (LMS) is an independent and impartial conflict resolution charity that provide mediation and facilitation to businesses and residents.

If you are a resident of Lambeth and have a problem with your neighbour you can talk with LMS about the problem.

If necessary they will provide a mediator free of charge to facilitate a conversation between you and your neighbour.

If you are a business that requires mediation either between your staff teams or between other businesses then LMS can also help with this. For further details:

Family Support Service

For young people aged 16 to 17-years-old Lambeth's Family Support Service provides support and practical help to young people and families in resolving their difficulties, leading to the young person either staying, returning or leaving home in a planned way.
