You can request for information from the local land charges register using our search service.

How to request a search

You can request a personal search by completing the personal search application form.

You can request an enhanced personal search (CON29R enhanced personal search - bundled information) by completing the enhanced personal search form.

You can request a search of the local land charge register by sending us the form LLC1 (search of the local land charges register). This form is available from the legal stationers "OYEZ".

How long will the search take?


Enhanced personal searches

If you are applying for an enhanced personal search, you can leave your request along with the required payment at the reception desk in the Lambeth Town Hall. We will return the result to you by post or email within two working days.

We will only accept payments that are made by postal order or cheques accompanied by a guarantee card. We cannot accept cash. If you pay by cheque and it does not clear, you will have to pay an administration fee of £25.

If you fail to collect and pay for your application on the day arranged for collection, your application will be cancelled and treated as an amount owing to us. This means that in addition to paying us for the defaulted booking, you will have to rebook your request and pay for it again.

Personal searches, search of land charges register and optional enquiries

If we receive your search application or enquiry before 2pm (Monday to Friday) it will be ready for you to collect the next working day. You can collect it from the reception desk in the Lambeth Town Hall between 10:30am and 2pm.

You must collect your search results yourself. We will not allow any agents to collect searches on behalf of any other agencies.

Cancellations

If you want to cancel your request you must do this before 2pm on the same day of making your request. You must do this in writing and fax it to 0207 926 2361.
