Street and building naming and numbering
Lambeth Council is responsible for the naming and numbering of new or existing streets and buildings within the borough boundaries. The council carries out these functions under Section 6 of the London Building Acts (Amendment) Act 1939.
The address of a property is an important issue. Council departments, the Royal Mail, the emergency services and other organisations need an efficient way of locating and referencing properties.
