Our planning services deal with planning applications, planning policy, enforcement against breaches of planning rules, conservation and urban design. The planning service is divided into a number of specialist teams who work with other parts of the council, applicants, communities, the government and other groups to create planning policies for the borough and to make decisions on developments.
To access information on current and historic planning applications online, to view planning constraints on a property and to see a map of the borough showing application locations, please use our planning applications database. The database, formerly known as 'public access', also allows you to monitor the progress of a current application, view documents associated with applications and to submit comments about the scheme.
