Community engagement on planning obligations and S106 issues
Lambeth Council is committed to ensuring that full and appropriate community engagement takes place in the determination and implementation of S106 planning obligations at all stages of the planning application process. The Council considers that local communities are well placed to be able to assess the direct impact of development on their areas and that they should have an important role in determining priorities for mitigation measures.
To this end the Council adopted in August 2009 a “Protocol for wider community engagement in S 106 issues.”
