Garrads Road Conservation Area

Garrads Road Conservation Area

Reference number: CA 12

First designated: 1969

Boundary extended: 1999, 2002

The Garrads Road Conservation Area is characterised by suburban development which began in the 1880s on the Streatham Park Estate and continued through to the inter-war period.

The Streatham Park Estate has a very strong Queen Anne style character and the other development, much of it looking over Tooting Bec Common, reflects the architectural tastes of the early 20th century.
