Commercial and residential development around 1900 fronting the West side of Herne hill around its junction with Half Moon Lane.

Buildings of particular note include the former fire station and former postal sorting office which are complemented by buildings of similar age and complementary materials and detailing. Much of the development on the East side of Herne Hill Road is within London Borough of Southwark’s Stradella Conservation Area.
