Latest sustainable developments
Ethelred Estate in Kennington is the site of the UK's largest green roof project for a refurbishment. 10 buildings are included in the scheme, with over 4,000m² of roof space now covered in sedum plants, breathing new life into the area.
Homes at Angell Town are designed to a very high standard and are very energy efficient, which will minimise fuel bills. The new homes at Boatemah Walk also include sustainable features such as solar power and rainwater harvesting.
One Vale Street
One Vale Street, completed in May 2009, is the first large scale inner London scheme to achieve Code for Sustainable Homes level 4. Lambeth's UDP requires code level 3 as a minimum, and code level 6 is zero carbon.
Bateman Mews is made up of seven family homes in a wooded setting developed by Metropolitan Housing Association and designed by Anne Thorne Architects. The project achieved an Ecohomes excellent standard and won the 2010 RIBA building for life silver award.
