Monitoring sustainable construction procedure

The Monitoring sustainable construction procedure should be followed by Surveyors and Lead Officers of Neighbourhood Offices, TMO's and EMB's and their consultants. The monitoring process is designed to identify how we are implementing the sustainable construction policy across the Major Repairs programme to deliver benefits to residents, DHS and the environment. Monitoring will identify how to further assist officers to maximise quality / environmental standards across DHS capital projects; how consultants are actioning policy requirements, the benefits accruing to the housing stock & allow a feedback mechanism regarding constraints and issues arising as best practice and legislation develops.

The monitoring form

The monitoring form is an essential part of the monitoring process to improve and measure our ability to meet policy requirements. All consultants should be provided with a copy of the monitoring form by their Client Officer and complete it at tender.
