Consultation on the draft Waterloo Supplementary Planning Document (SPD)
The draft Waterloo SPD sets out how Waterloo could develop in the coming years. Key principles of the draft SPD include:
- Tall buildings focussed around an improved Waterloo Station
- Improvements to public spaces and streets
- A mixed use area where Waterloo develops as a central London office location but with more housing and a full range of shops and facilities.
The draft SPD was approved by Lambeth Council for public consultation on 28 July 2008. The full document and Sustainability Appraisal can be viewed and downloaded below.
Lambeth Council would like to hear your views on the draft SPD. To make comments you can either:
- complete the on-line questionnaire,
- email your comments to planningimplementation@lambeth.gov.uk,
- send your comments to Implementation Team, Lambeth Planning, 1st Floor - Phoenix House, 10, Wandsworth Road, Vauxhall, SW8 2LL,
- pick up a newsletter, which includes the questionnaire, at Waterloo Library or the Waterloo Action Centre. A copy can also be viewed and downloaded below.
There will also be an exhibition at Waterloo Library from 11 to 18 November 2008. Members of the Planning Division will be available to answer questions at the following times:
- 4.00-6.00 Thursday 13 November 2008
- 4.00-6.00 Friday 14 November 2008
- 3.00-5.00 Saturday 15 November 2008
The deadline for submitting completed questionnaires or comments on the SPD is 5.00pm on Friday 5 December 2008.
