Site Specific Allocations Development Plan Document (DPD) consultation

The Site Allocations DPD will identify sites required to meet the strategic objectives set out in the Core Strategy such as school, waste and housing sites.

The first draft of the document, the Site Allocations Development Plan Document: Issues and Options consultation, contains 114 major known sites. These are mainly taken from the list of Major Development Opportunity sites identified in the Lambeth UDP which have not yet been developed. It also reflects other work that has identified potential sites, primarily from the Vauxhall and Waterloo area Supplementary Planning Documents and the masterplan work for Brixton, Norwood and Streatham. Consultation on this draft took place between June and August 2009.

The first round of consultation sought views on potential development sites within the borough and their uses and also invited suggestions for additional sites for potential development or redevelopment.

The council received over 70 responses on the above consultation and these will be used to inform the next draft of the document. A schedule of responses is available to view by following the link at the bottom of this page.

In view of changing circumstances, the timetable for the progression of this document is under review. When this is clarified it will be set out on this web page.
