Stockwell Park High School Development Brief
Approved by full Cabinet: 22 November 2006
The council approved the Development Brief for Stockwell Park High School in November 2006. The current buildings have a number of problems that cannot be easily put right, and the council has decided that it would be best to rebuild the school. This is being carried out as part of the Government's Building Schools for the Future programme.
Rebuilding will provide better and more modern facilities and also enable the new school to provide additional places:
- up to 1,315. There will be 1,200 places for young people aged 11-16
- 15 places for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder special educational needs
- and a 100-place sixth form.
