The Stockwell Park Conservation Area is characterised by smart early 19th Century villas mostly with Neo-Classical detailing. These houses - detached, semidetached and in short terraces - sit within pleasant mature gardens, giving them a pleasing sylvan quality.

Landmark buildings, mature trees and a general unaltered appearance contribute to the special character of the area.
