Waterloo Supplementary Planning Documents Consultation Page

Draft Waterloo Area Supplementary Planning Document (2011)

In 2008, we consulted on the future of Waterloo, seeking views on priorities for the Waterloo area. This led to the Waterloo Area Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) adopted by Lambeth Council in June 2009. We have now updated the SPD to reflect policies in the Lambeth Core Strategy, 2011 and this consultation is limited to these policy changes and factual updating.

No change in approach is proposed – the SPD continues to support high density development around the station and a programme of public realm improvements.

If you require further information on the Draft Waterloo Area SPD, please contact Mark Trevethan at Mtrevethan@lambeth.gov.uk or 020 7926 4067.

Draft Waterloo Station and Interchange Development Brief (2011)

On 23 May 2011 Cabinet approved the Waterloo Station and Interchange Development Brief for consultation.

Waterloo Station is operating at capacity and a series of rail improvements are programmed which will have impacts on the area but also create opportunities for a world class interchange. The development brief aims to open out new entrances to the station and to introduce new facilities and uses. It will be important to also improve the public realm around the station.

If you require further information on the Draft Waterloo Station and Interchange Development Brief, please contact Sri Hall at Shall1@lambeth.gov.uk or 020 7926 1219.
