The Licensing and Management of Houses in Multiple Occupation and Other Houses Regulations 2006 sets out the scope of mandatory licensing for Houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) and requires the local authority to maintain a public register of:
- all licences granted under Part 2 or 3 of the Housing Act 2004, which are in force
- all temporary exemption notices served by the authority and
- all interim and final management orders made under part 4 of the Act.
