How to apply

Woman using laptopAppointments at Lambeth Council are made on merit, based on fair and open competition.

Applicants are appointed on the basis of their experience, knowledge, skills and ability to do the job. This ensures that the best person is selected for the job.

To apply for a job with us you must complete an application. We are introducing a new online application process. While we move from the old system to the new, you can find Lambeth vacancies on the Jobs go public site and the Lambeth site. To see all of our vacancies, you must view both sites. This is a temporary measure.

If you require a paper application form please contact 020 7926 7000 (24hrs) or email lambeth@wdad.co.uk.

We do not accept CVs as they are unlikely to show that you fully meet the job requirements and make it difficult for us to compare candidates fairly.

We do not accept faxed application forms.

Completing your application online

Our more recent job postings can be found on our new online recruitment system, where you will be able to complete your application on line. This section will give you guidance on how to complete your application using our new system.

Completing your Jobs go public application

We decide whether or not to interview you for a job from the information you give us on your application form. We cannot make assumptions about your experience, knowledge, skills and/or abilities. So it is important that you give us clear and relevant information and that you answer all the questions.

If at first you don't succeed

We receive a high volume of applications at Lambeth and competition for jobs can be strong.

If your application is successful

If your written application is successful, you will be invited to take part in an interview process.
