Arts audit
In 2008, Lambeth Arts, in partnership with Lambeth City Learning Centre, commissioned a study of the arts and creative activity across the borough. The report presents a picture of a borough with high quality arts and cultural provision and widespread engagement.
At the time of researching, 718 arts, community organisations, creative businesses and practitioners either based or working in Lambeth were identified. This snapshot highlights:
- Arts organisations, creative businesses, community organisations and council departments engaging Lambeth residents as audiences or participants in arts and creative activities
- The arts and creative networks and partnerships that organisations and individuals are involved in and
- Facilities and venues for arts and creative activity in Lambeth
Given its live and dynamic nature, the arts and cultural scene is fluid and constantly changing. As a result of this, there will be a whole raft of providers who are not featured in this audit.
