Lambeth Arts and Disability Network

The Lambeth Arts and Disability Network represents a partnership between arts practitioners and service providers and is open to all individuals and organisations. The network aims to:

  • Promote access to the arts by disabled people as audience and participants
  • Promote the works of disabled arts practitioners.

Arts Access UK

Online database providing access information for the arts and culture sector throughout the UK. Venues, sites and organisations can use it to promote their accessibility to disabled people.

Artsline

Disability access website providing searchable information on over 1,000 arts venues across London.

Art Spider

Website for learning disability arts, launched by Mencap.

Mencap Arts has just published a report of its two year arts consultation with young people with a learning disability (aged 13-19). For the full report, log onto www.artspider.org.uk/resources/other_info

CandoCo Dance Company

Acclaimed contemporary dance company of disabled and non-disabled dancers.

Corali Dance Company

Corali is a performance company that creates and tours original performance work mostly in London. Corali makes work in collaboration with performers, dancers and artists that have learning disabilities and those that do not. Corali has a core company of artists and it also runs education and outreach work. 

Disability Advice Service Lambeth (DASL)

Brixton-based service providing advice and information on all aspects of disability and daily living in Lambeth, as well as a direct payments support service and user involvement work with disabled people.

Extant

Extant is the first performing arts organization in the UK, managed for and by visually impaired professional arts practitioners, seeking to promote the arts and culture of the visually impaired community. 

Foundation for Community Dance

The national development agency for community dance in the UK, working toward greater access to high quality community dance for all.

The Foundation for Community Dance has produced a handy Disability Discrimination Act (DDA) Information Sheet providing user-friendly information and support.

Runs the Play 4 All project, designed to develop play and leisure opportunities for disabled children in Lambeth.

London Disability Arts Forum (LDAF)

Disability-led organisation focused on promoting disability arts and the work of disabled artists.

National Disability Arts Forum

Supports the development of Disability Arts Agencies, regionally and nationally.

Parents for Inclusion

Network of parents of disabled children and children with 'special needs' working to build inclusive communities in ordinary life.

Shape

Leading disability arts organisation, improving access and supporting deaf and disabled artists to challenge perceptions and promote deaf and disability culture.

Southbank Centre access list

Join the Southbank Centre access list and you may be eligible to buy tickets at concessionary prices, to bring a companion to assist you during your visit (paying for two tickets for the price of one), and to receive information in alternative formats.
