Culture, Arts And Refugees - a new microsite From Creative Exchange
Creative Exchange is a charity and global network dedicated to the social role of arts and culture. We connect people, provide information and raise awareness of how arts and culture contribute to international development and social change.
Creative Exchange has just launched a new web resource: Culture, Art and Refugees as part of a major redesign of its website.
The Culture, Arts and Refugees site has been created to host materials about the role of arts and culture in the inclusion and integration of refugees and asylum seekers, and to make publicly available materials from its publication on this theme, A Sense of Belonging.
The Creative Exchange website features an electronic Bookshop and a fully searchable archive of international contacts and resources. You will also be able to buy books, pay for membership and make donations online.
EAST (East Asia Strategic Training) Scheme
Chinese Arts Centre has been commissioned by Arts Council England to help them research how best to support the East Asian arts sector in London. The response we have had has been very positive, which is great news for East Asian artists.
EAST Database
East Asian artists can get involved in EAST by joining up to the database, the more artists they can promote the better the chance the sector has to influence Arts Council policy.
The database is a great opportunity to profile yourself and your work. Chinese Arts Centre will promote it nationally and internationally.
If you would like to be included on the database, please email a brief CV, artist statement and up to 5 examples of your work (jpeg or tif format only) to: artists@chinese-arts-centre.org
- If you are an arts organisation, please include the aim of your organisation, the art forms you cover and any past project you would like mentioned.
- For musicians, send an mp3 file no longer than one minute in length and press photo.
- For performers and video artists please send a short extract of no more than one minute in length that is compatible with Quicktime or Window Media Player. You can also send stills.
- Please do not send original artwork- Chinese Arts Centre does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage.
