Creative Action Partnership
In partnership with Lambeth service teams and cultural organisations across the borough, Lambeth Arts has developed a forum to increase access to arts activities for young people in Lambeth.
The forum has a monthly email bulletin listing activities available for young people and training, funding and resources for organisations.

198 Contemporary Arts and Learning is a visual arts organisation and digital media studio. They offer a schools workshop programme and accredited digital media skills training, and personal and social development opportunities to progress young people into mainstream education, employment and training.
Ace bring artists together with children, young people and communities. They harness the skills, energy and creativity of artists by providing them with training, volunteering and networking opportunities and facilitate arts projects that enable children, young people and communities to discover and develop their creativity, celebrate their cultural diversity and participate in improving their school and community grounds.
B3 Media nutures, develops and showcases creative talent. They work across a range of media including short film, spoken word, moving image and feature film.
An educational charity committed to disseminating the history of Black people's contribution to Britain, Black Cultural Archives provide a range of exhibitions, programmes and workshop opportunities.
Gasworks is an organisation that presents exhibitions, residencies and artists studios. Their education and outreach programmes provides informal talks and presentations by visiting, exhibiting artists and invited speakers and also collaborates with local organisations to design activities and workshops for younger audiences, families and community groups.
Brixton-based dance management agency offering advice, training and support for independent artists, managers and dance practitioners in London.
Lambeth City Learning Centre supports the use of innovative technology for children and young people in Lambeth schools.
Lambeth Music Service provides instrumental and vocal tuition to schools in the borough. They facilitate the annual schools music festival and also provide out of school activities and courses.
Lambeth Orchestra is a high standard amateur classical orchestra that provides opportunities for children and young people in school workshops and open rehearsal.
L'Ouverture provides arts and media activities for children and young people that help them to overcome barriers and achieve their potential.
Using a mix of arts and new technology, their projects are for those who do not respond to traditional teaching methods. Workshops focus on specific arts; assignments combine two or three activities and Extravaganza projects bring together a wide range of activities. Assignments and Extravaganza projects focus on the delivery of a performance or an exhibition.
London Printworks is a leading textile print resource. Based in Brixton, they offer a diverse programme of activities which combines textile print facilities, exhibitions, educational activities and professional development.
The Oval House youth programme includes: Oval Street Dance, Oval Voices, Oval Drama and Sign by Sign, a new deaf young people's theatre.
Photofusion is a photography centre housing colour and black and white darkrooms, a photographic studiom, exhibition space and providing education and training opportunities.
Raw material promotes access and opportunity for young people to engage in training and education programmes and professional development schemes.
South Connections designs and produces carnival costumes for the Notting Hill Carnival and other local events throughout the year. They also provide educational workshops training young people in carnival arts.
Streatham festival is organised and developed by a group of volunteers, who make up the Streatham Festival Association. The festival runs in early July but aims to provide arts events and activities for the community in the SW16 area throughout the year.
An extensive programme of activities accompanies every work presented at the Young Vic, and is open to young people from local schools and colleges.
Workshops or events can be arranged before or after a performance. These activities focus on those living or studying in Lambeth and Southwark and are offered free of charge to all participants. The work provides young people from three to 20 years old with the practical means to explore theatre through the skills and experience of a core creative team.
Other local organisations providing arts activities
Bigfoot provides drama as an educational tool to children of all backgrounds. They work with schools to encourage singing, drama and dancing for confidence and entertainment, and run out-of-school drama and film workshops.

Theatre Arts school that rund weekend classes for children in singing, dance and drama (4-18yrs). Aims to reach out to all sections of the community.
Children's educational charity that offers a wide range of educational and recreational activities for local primary school children aged 3-11, including arts, dance, drama and imaginative play. They currently run 14 after-school schemes and two holiday projects in Streatham, Clapham, Balham and Stockwell.
Children's theatre company which uses actors, puppets, live music and interaction with the audience to provide a variety of shows for children and their families - in schools, nurseries and public venues. Oily Cart caters specifically for children under five, and children and young people with severe learning disabilities.
Brixton's Ritzy cinema holds cheap (£2 for children, £3 for adults) screenings of films for children.
