Workspace and studios
Workspaces and studios in Lambeth often have a substantial waiting list. Many studios have websites giving details of their selection criteria, costs of space and application forms. You may need to pay a one-off or regular registration or membership fee to keep on waiting lists.
Apart from independent or small groups there are four large-scale workspace/studio providers in London who run a number of buildings. All provide some or all of the following services: support and advice to potential or established organisations; advice and support to individual practitioners; and professional facilities, services and development courses.
Current Available studios/workshops
Situated at Tulse Hill, SE27. In a small secure, artist community. Both previously used by professional artists:
Studio 1 suitable for ceramist, sculptor or fabricator. Double doors. 475 square foot at £400 per month, exclusive of bills.
Studio 2 suitable for a painter. Finished to a high standard. 330 square foot at £310 per month, exclusive of bills.
Either studio would be suitable for sharing. Other cheaper/smaller studios often become available.

165 square feet with own sink, drawing board, shelves and 24 hour access. There are four other smaller studios adjacent to the gallery. The studios are fully insured with CCTV, kitchen, fridge facilities.
The studio available for August is bright spacious with good overhead lighting and would suit an artist constructing medium sized sculptures or larger canvases.
Rent: £280 per calender month, fully inclusive, no bills or rates.

80 square feet studio is available in a fun and well regulated environment for artists at Red Gate Gallery. The studio is fully insured with CCTV, kitchen, microwave, fridge facilities and additional Police Response Botton. The studio also has 24 hour access, is adjacant to gallery and located in a clean and heated environment. Disabled toilets are available on site.
Rent: £140 per calender month, fully inclusive, no bills or rates.
