Basic skills
All our libraries have skills for life sections where you can find books to help you improve your English grammar, maths skills or reading ability. Many libraries also have sessions in basic computer skills. Please contact your local library for more details.
English conversation group
If you would like to practise your English in an informal setting come along to Brixton Library every Monday for
English conversation in a relaxed atmosphere 7 to 8pm.

Free careers advice and guidance
From 15 August 2012 there will be a free careers advice and guidance session at Brixton Library from 1 to 3.30pm every Thursday.

How to Increase Well-being in Communities - A talk by Birbeck College on individual happiness in relation to ideas about community and 'the big society'. This workshop will give you practical ideas on how to improve well-being in your community.
