Local libraries
Lambeth has nine libraries spread across the borough. This page will tell you more about each library and list their opening times.
Easter Closure
Lambeth Libraries will be closed for Easter on the following dates:
Friday 2 April 2010
Saturday 3 April 2010
Sunday 4 April 2010
Monday 5 April 2010
Normal service will resume on Tuesday 6 April 2010.

All Lambeth's libraries have access for people with disabilities. Brixton, West Norwood and the mobile libraries have induction loops. Brixton Library has a minicom facility.
Lambeth also offers a mobile library and home visit library service, a reference library and also the Lambeth Archives and Local History service.
The Upper Norwood Joint Library is an independent library service, funded by Croydon and Lambeth Councils, but is not part of either borough's library services.
Brixton Library is in the centre of Brixton, next to the Ritzy Cinema.
Carnegie Library is in a residential area close to Denmark Hill and Herne Hill.
Clapham Library is in the Old Town, a short walk from the common and the shops.
Durning Library is in an impressive Victorian building in Kennington, close to the tube station.
The Minet Library is a small and attractive neighbourhood library in Knatchbull Road, near to Myatt's Fields park.
South Lambeth Library is between Stockwell and Kennington in the heart of Lambeth's Portuguese community.
Streatham Library is on the High Road, right in the heart of the town centre.
Waterloo Library is situated in Lower Marsh, right next to the market, in a building shared with the job shop.
West Norwood library is situated next to the main gate of Norwood cemetery.
