Brixton Library
Brixton Library is in the centre of Brixton, next to the Ritzy Cinema. It provides books and more for loan, a reference and information service, free use of computers for Internet, email and word-processing, and a computer training centre.
The Library also holds a small collection of books in Bengali, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
The lending library
The lending library has a wide range of novels and factual books for all ages to borrow, including the latest bestsellers. It also has talking books for all ages, CDs, cassettes, videos, DVDs and books in large print.
The reference library
The reference library on the first floor has a large collection of encyclopedias, directories, maps, newspapers and magazines, government publications and books for study as well as a huge range of information on the Internet and CD-ROM. Desks are available for private study.
Easter Closure
Brixton Library will be closed for Easter on the following dates:
