It offers books, DVDs and CDs for loan, a reference and information service, and free use of computers for internet, email and word-processing. The Library also holds a small collection of books in French.

Book at Breakfast - Carnegie Library hosts many groups including 'Book at Breakfast' every Wednesday from 10.30am to 12pm. You don't have to read anything in advance as everything is read aloud to you each week. You can simply drop in, sit down and enjoy listening to a good story or poem - there's no pressure to talk, to read, or even to drink tea. Carnegie Library is a picturesque Grade II listed building, combining framework with Tudor style mullioned and leaded windows.
