We're committed to the provision and development of sport and recreation in Lambeth.
There are four leisure centres, a community sports centre and a Lido in the borough, plus facilities for a wide range of sports in our parks and green spaces.

Swim and play tennis free in Lambeth
From April 2009 young people aged 16 and under and those aged 60 and over will be able to swim free in Lambeth's pools. The Swim Free scheme will last for two years and is part of a Government initiative to get us all more fit and active. At Lambeth we are extending this offer to include free tennis for both age groups.
A major festival of sport has kicked off Lambeth's countdown to the 2012 Olympic Games. On Saturday 5 September, Kennington Park played host to Lambeth's first annual borough-wide sport and cultural festival - Activate 2009.
The free festival, which was organised by Lambeth Council, gave visitors young and old alike the opportunity to have a go at Olympic and Paralympic sports such as tennis, rowing, cycling and badminton.
The Children and Young Peoples PE, Sport and Physical Activity Partnership recently launched Lambeth's first PE, Sport and Physical Activity Framework for Children and Young People which will provide a strategic approach to the delivery of the new national ambition of five hours of sport for children and young people per week.

The Healthy Lifestyles and Active Walks programmes help you raise your physical activity level, with the overall aim of improving your health.
The Lambeth REAL Plus card gives you generous discounts at Lambeth leisure centres whether you are using the facilities at peak or off peak times.
