New state of the art Leisure centre for Streatham

With our partner Tesco we will deliver a state of the art leisure centre and ice rink for Streatham. Known as the Streatham Hub, the new development will breathe new life into Streatham and provide world class leisure facilities for the whole community.

The substantial investment will see the development of a full size new ice rink, leisure centre and swimming pool on Streatham High Road near Streatham station.

Tesco are our partners and they are now fully committed to delivering this project. The fantastic new facilities are expected to be completed in 2013 and the redevelopment will now take place in a single phase cutting two years off the completion date.

New leisure facilities will include:

a new sports and leisure centre providing:
a 25m, 6-lane swimming pool
a 13m learner pool
a 4-court sports hall
a health and fitness suite with space to accommodate around 100 machines
a 60m by 30m ice rink with around 1,000 spectator seats.
The ice rink will include a reception, boot hire and excellent changing facilities.

Tesco have also committed to provide a full size temporary ice rink while the new one is being built. The temporary rink will host ice hockey games and ice dancing with spectator seats and once the new leisure centre and ice rink is operational, it will be completely cleared.
