South London United women's football club
South London United are an independent women’s football club that has two 11 a-side teams: a first team that plays on Sundays and a second team that plays on Saturdays. We train on Tuesdays from 6.30pm all year round (Clapham Common during the summer, and Battersea Sports Centre during the winter).
Experienced players and beginners are welcomed equally, and our training is designed to ensure that everyone learns and improves. If players want to start off by playing only for the second team then that’s fine – those games are much more relaxed, and give players a chance to experience matches, but at the same time not feel pressured about how well they play. Our first team is more competitive, and offers a good standard for experienced players, as well as a target for less experienced players to break in to.
