London Youth Games

Every year over 20,000 young Londoners compete in over 30 different sports competitions that comprise the London Youth Games. The results from all the different sports competitions are added together and the winning borough is awarded the Jubilee Trophy.

London Youth Games was inaugurated in 1977 as part of The Queen's Silver Jubilee celebrations. Now entering their 31st year, the Games provide competitive sporting opportunities for young Londoners representing the London borough they live or school in.

The London Youth Games give the young people of Lambeth the chance to try out for a place in a team in over 30 sports ranging from archery to weight lifting.

The participants will experience a high standard of sports competitions while proudly representing their borough. Past competitors include Linford Christie and Brixton Basketball Club's very own Leoul Deng (now an NBA Chicago Bulls superstar!).
