  • Grants are offered to enhance grassroots football provision across the UK, covering team kit, facility hire, equipment and other football items.
  • Small grants up to £10,000.
  • Facility Grants up to £1million.

  • Help is given for cost of training travel and coaching incurred while preparing for competitions.

  • Surplus made from the Flora London Marathon and other events are ploughed back into sporting and recreational projects across Greater London.
  • Since its inauguration the Trust has donated over £14 million to projects in the capital.
  • Last year alone 37 projects across 28 London boroughs were allocated grants of between £8,000 and £500,000.

Healthy Lifestyle Grants

  • The Lifestyle Grants programme aims to support lifestyle interventions in communities to prevent or reduce the risk factors of heart disease.
  • Awards grants from £1,000 to £10,000 that are one off, or for the first year. Part funding is also acceptable.
  • Grants are awarded twice a year, in May and November.

  • The trust makes grants that cover: access for older and disabled people, environmental conservation, children and young people, and technical assistance for voluntary organisations.

  • There are a number of different schemes offering Millennium Awards.
  • These offer grants to different individuals or groups to run a project for the benefit of their area or their community.

  • The General Fund of the Opportunities for Volunteering (OFV) scheme (previously administered by The Consortium on Opportunities for Volunteering), is now distributed by the Grants Directorate of Volunteering England (VE).
  • The scheme funds locally-focused projects in England up to £35,000, to increase the quality and involvement of volunteers in health and social care.

  • Futurebuilders is a £125m groundbreaking government investment fund, backed by the Home Office, to improve public service delivery through long term investment in the voluntary and community sector in England.
  • Futurebuilders is hoping to invest in around 250 voluntary and community organisations.
  • The aim is to improve public service delivery by widening the range of service providers and helping develop their delivery capacity, particularly in more challenging areas of service provision.
  • Investments range from £30,000 to several million. In addition, a number of development grants of around £10,000 will be allocated to promising applications, which require further work.

The Scarman Trust
