Lancaster Avenue Local Safety Scheme

In response to residents' concerns regarding high vehicle speeds within the existing 20MPH zone and the potential danger and nuisance this creates.

Lambeth has put together some proposals and would like your views. This scheme will be implemented subject to both consultation response and availability of resources.

The proposals include:

• Trial of ‘Speed Lozenges’. This is an amended design we hope will reduce noise and vibration that typical speed cushions can generate. 
• Installation of Islands with road narrowings.
  This will reduce what is a very wide road at four locations to slow vehicles.
