Untaxed vehicles

The DVLA investigate and remove vehicles which are being used and are not displaying valid tax.

If the vehicle has not been used for a long period of time see abandoned vehicles.

To report an untaxed vehicle

You can make a report anonymously if you wish.

You can make your report by either phoning the freephone number 0800 0325 202 or by filling in the 'Report an untaxed vehicle form' online.

To report a vehicle that appears to be untaxed the vehicle must be parked in the reported location on a regular basis and you will need to provide the following details.

• the registration of the vehicle
• the location of the vehicle
• the make, model and colour of the vehicle

Wherever possible, please provide:

• the time the vehicle can be seen on the public road
• the name and address of the owner
