Controlled Parking Zones (CPZs) FAQs

Do parking restrictions apply on bank and public holidays?

Yes - parking restrictions do apply.

Controlled zone entry signs show the hours of restriction, if they apply on bank and public holidays.

Residents' parking and pay and display bays are available to all without charge on these days.

What if a pay and display machine does not register my money or does not work?

If you find a pay and display machine out of order, please use another machine in the same street.

We will refund any money you lose in pay and display machines, which are not working correctly.

Call 020 7926 9000 or email ParkingEnquiries@lambeth.gov.uk for further information on how to claim a refund.

To apply for a refund please write to the following address:
Business Performance
Parking Services
P.O. Box 51929
London
SW9 9YR

Please retain the pay and display ticket you obtain from another machine as evidence.

If you receive a Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) because a pay and display machine was not working, then you should make a challenge explaining clearly the dates and times the machine was out of order. See Appeals against a Penalty Charge Notice for further details.

There is a car parked in my bay, can you get it removed?

A disabled bay outside your house is not for your sole use. Anyone who displays a blue disabled badge can park in any disabled bay.

If a vehicle is parked without displaying the national blue badge scheme or the Lambeth Disabled Parking Permit for overnight parking then you may request a removal.

Please call 020 7793 0509 and we will arrange for a removal truck to attend the location.
