Motorcycle parking permit

If you live in a Controlled Parking Zone (CPZ) in Lambeth and own a motorcycle you may be entitled to buy an on-street motorcycle parking permit.

How to apply

To apply for a motorcycle parking permit complete the resident, motorcycle and visitor parking permit applictation form:

First permit in Lambeth

If this is your first parking permit application in Lambeth you must produce all original documentation at one of our customer centres.

Renewing a motorcycle parking permit

Online

If you are a current motorbike permit holder and your personal and vehicle details have not changed you can renew your permit online.

By post or in person

However if your details have changed renewals need to be made by post or at one of our customer centres. To do this complete the resident, motorcycle and visitor parking permits application form, include photocopies of your supporting documentation (don't send the originals) along with your cheque or postal order which should be made out to 'London Borough of Lambeth' and send it all to the the parking business support team or take it to one of our customer centres.

Motorcycle parking permit rules and guidance

  • the permit allows you to park your vehicle in resident bays and resident shared-use bays in the CPZ where you live
  • each permit is vehicle specific and cannot be used on any other vehicle. 

Parking permit prices

You can pay, in person, by cash, cheque, postal order or credit card. A cheque guarantee card will be needed.

Advanced applications by post can be paid by using cheque or postal order made payable to: 'London Borough of Lambeth'. Do not send cash through the post.

Who is eligible

To be eligible for a motorcycle parking permit you must be a resident in Lambeth.

All applications must include a vehicle registration document (V5/C).

If you are not the registered owner, then we require a certificate of motor insurance as proof that you are a named driver on the vehicle in addition to the V5/C.

We also require two of the following proofs of address:

  • driving licence
  • bank or credit card statement
  • utility bill
  • Solicitor’s completion letter
  • NHS medical card
  • current council tax document
  • home contents insurance policy
  • formal tenancy agreement
  • an Electoral Canvas form or polling card (dated in the last year).

Please note: a utility bill, bank or credit card statement and a Solicitor's completion letter will only be accepted if they are dated within the last three months.

If you are unable to provide a vehicle registration document then a discretionary one month permit may be granted. This will be charged at the Band four price no matter what type of vehicle. No further permits will be issued after this unless all the criteria can be met in full.
