Permit refunds and change of vehicle
Any requests for refunds or change of vehicle being made via post must be sent using registered mail to make sure it reaches us. If we don't receive the original permit to be refunded or exchanged, we will not be able to process your request without proof that it was sent using registered mail.
Resident and motorcycle permit refunds
Refunds will be given on 3, 6 and 12 month permits, minus an administration fee of £5, except in the case of a replacement permit if the original permit was not returned. Refunds will not be given where the amount owing is the same as or less than the administration fee.
Business, doctor, teacher and market trader permit refunds
Refunds will be given at a pro rata rate per full valid month remaining minus an administration fee of £5 for business, doctor and teachers permits. Refunds cannot be given on replacement permits.
To apply for a refund you will need to write to us at Lambeth Parking Services, PO Box 51929, SW9 9YR, explaining why you need a refund and enclosing your permit. We will be unable to issue a refund without this. Once processed a refund will be sent to you.
Visitor and trader permit refunds
Refunds are not available for visitor or trader permits.
Changing your vehicle
How do I change a permit if I get a new vehicle?
You can change your permit three times in a rolling 12 month period. Change of permits can be done at one of our customer centres. Please remember, parking permits are only valid for the vehicle for which they were purchased.
You will need to provide proof of residency and the vehicle registration document. For more information see our Apply for a resident and a visitor parking permit page.
Is there a charge to change a permit?
There is an administrative charge of £7 to change a permit. If your new vehicle is in a different price band then you will need to pay for a new permit and return the old one to obtain a refund.
