Reasons to suspend a parking bay

You may want to suspend a parking bay for a number of reasons, from ensuring you have a parking bay when you move house to arranging a bay for a skip. We can suspend a parking bay, sometimes at short notice, for instance for emergency utility work.

Moving House

If you intend to move house or you are moving to Lambeth you will find it easier to suspend a parking place. This will ensure you can park near to your address.

• If your new or old address has yellow lines you will be able to park to load or unload, however you will need to ensure you follow the regulations. Go to our Loading and unloading page for more details.
• If you live on a red route you should contact Transport for London Dispensations.

Parking at a funeral

We allow a parking exemption at funerals for the hearse and the lead funeral vehicle. A driver must remain in each car at all times so that they can move the vehicle in case it causes an obstruction or becomes a security risk.

Vehicles driven by others attending the funeral must park according to the parking regulations, please make sure that any visiting mourners are made aware of this fact.
