Poets Corner 20mph zone

Following residents' concerns about speeding traffic and road safety in the Poets' Corner area, we in conjunction with community groups have developed proposals.

We now need your views We are proposing to introduce a 20mph zone in order to reduce the danger on roads within your residential area. It aims to lower vehicle speeds and improve the general environment so that residents are encouraged to walk and cycle more.

20mph zones need to be self-enforcing and therefore traffic calming measures are required. We have indicated locations and describe different types of measures to assist you in your response.

We would like to get your comments on both the proposals and welcome feedback on any other concerns you may have about this area and road danger reduction.
