Travel by London Underground
There are nine underground (tube) stations in the borough of Lambeth which are managed by Transport for London:
- Brixton (Victoria line)
- Clapham Common (Northern line)
- Clapham North (Northern line)
- Clapham South (Northern line)
- Lambeth North (Bakerloo line)
- Oval (Northern line)
- Stockwell (Northern and Victoria lines)
- Vauxhall (Victoria line)
- Waterloo (Bakerloo, Jubilee and Northern lines)

Northern Line Improvment Works
Following the successful progression of improvement works to Clapham Common, Balham, Oval and Tooting Broadway stations work will now start at Clapham North, Tooting Bec and Colliers Wood stations.
Clapham North and Tooting Bec will close at 10pm Sunday to Thursdays until 26 November 2009 (Except August 30 and 31 for Bank Holiday) for station improvement work. Tickets will be accepted on local buses to nearby stations.
Colliers Wood will close at 10pm Sundays to Thursdays from Tuesday 1 September 2009 until Thursday 24 December 2009.
Kennington Station
From 20 January 2009 until 17 December 2009 Kennington Station will be undergoing lift refurbishment. The lifts will be refurbished one lift at a time so for the entire duration of the work only one lift will be in supervised operation. The station will operate normally but at busy times customers may be asked to walk down the stairs to platforms.
